There were celebrations in Chesterfield last week as five employees from our Ossett and Chesterfield branches celebrated 25 years of service with the company. All five joined the company in 1985 progressing through the company to their present roles.
Arthur Gardiner joined in the March and is an experienced NDT Engineer, his specialist field being ultrasonic testing of large steel castings particularly in the power generation and nuclear industries.
Lew Devine joined the company the following month and he is also an experienced NDT Engineer and specialises in a range of NDT disciplines – Ultrasonic inspection of welds, radiography of welds, MPI and DPI. He has been on contract with one of our major customers for around 20 years.
Bob Theaker is the manager of our Ossett branch, he again is an experienced NDT engineer with particular expertise in the radiographic inspection of welds and castings. Bob joined the company in May of 1985, just a month after Lew.
Next to join the fold was Dawn Andrews and she arrived in the June of 1985. Dawn is not only the Office Manager at our Chesterfield based Head Office – she is also responsible for The Group’s accounting systems. It’s widely felt that we wouldn’t be where we are today without Dawn keeping an eye on us all!
….and finally, the last of the long serving staff members to join Applied Inspection was Keith Dashper who arrived in the October. Keith is the assistant manager of our Ossett branch; he is an experienced NDT engineer whose specialist field is the radiographic inspection of welds and castings. Unfortunately Keith was ill on the night of the celebrations and was sadly unable to join his colleagues.
Dawn was presented with a necklace and the four men received gold watches in celebration of 25 years with the company.
