We recently completed a successful RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) audit; formerly known as Achilles Link-up, RISQS is an independent, third party supplier qualification scheme for all products and services that are procured by the rail industry.
RISQS supports Network Rail, LUL/Transport for London, passenger, light rail and freight train operators, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and other rail products and services providers in the management of supply chain risk. The RISQS Audit is an assessment of a company’s Management Systems and allows us to gain additional qualifications to work on the British rail network.
The assessment is in two parts – one covering people working on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure and one covering people working on rail depots, and the scope held by Applied Inspection covers both areas.
“We have many customers in the rail industry and its associated supply chain. RISQS approval is just one of many held by Applied Inspection but we recognize its significance for the rail industry. We’re pleased to have successfully completed this year’s audit which had to take in to account some major changes to the scheme which were introduced in 2013.” Commented Quality Manager James Bailey.
